The people I worked with were fantastic. Really passionate and team motivated people. I liked that many people had the flexibility to work from home and what culture was developed among the org. Everyone I directly worked with was wonderful.
Svantaggi
The upper management/executives pretend to be transparent by having weekly company updates on how we’re doing. We were made aware that there were hard times ahead, and they would be accepting voluntary layoffs. But for those who were loyal and wanted to stay should be prepared to work your butts off. And so many teams shifted priorities to best fit increasing revenue and decreasing costs in other places. Every week we were told we were getting closer to reaching our goal. Boom suddenly one morning Brett announces in 3 minutes that they’re letting people go and those people will receive an email from HR. My entire team except me got an email from HR. I was confused. I thought there was no way they would lay off this many people. Then hearing from other people they also would only leave 1 or 2 people from each team. Following the meetup I meet up with my team and they tell me they’ve all been laid off and they will promptly be locked out of their laptops. I was horrified. They were auto muted and wouldn’t even be allowed to show their faces. In 2 minutes Jake told all those people they’ve been let go. It had to be atleast 70% of software and tech which is outrageous. That’s caused by a severe lack of planning and insight. And to not even give employees of 5 plus years individual goodbyes is rather humiliating. Following the layoffs of course the leftover employees had tons of questions. Many people wanted to know how many people got laid off but they were wouldn’t tell us. There’s no clear plan or direction for the work because there is no way for the rest of us to do work meant for a workforce 5 times our size.
