Vantaggi
Competitive pay and benefits that makes it hard to leave. It's also enjoyable and fun at times especially with the right team. Made a lot of friends at this job.
Svantaggi
High and unrealistic expectations, short staffing constantly because they don't have enough "labor hours" to give us. Constantly falling behind and struggling to catch up. Difficult to get out on time. High standards for drive times, cleanliness, customer connection, and certain rules that we have to adhere to. These are not inherently bad things, however we don't have the proper staff to be able to do these things well and to standard. If we don't meet their expectations then we get coached or in trouble for it. It's easy to be written up as well. I never have been personally, but know many people that have for silly things like 3 colors on their shoes instead of the max of 2, giving water to a kid who didn't buy anything, and forgetting to write on a cup. These are all Starbucks rules we have to follow. Overall it's a really draining job that makes your body collapse from exhaustion. They basically expect 1 person to do the work of 2 people and gaslight you into thinking thats achievable all of the time. If you aren't working at 120% all of the time you will fall behind. Also if you're having a bad day physically or mentally it doesn't matter, you're expected to leave your problems at the door when you walk in. Exact wording coming from our district manager.
