Vantaggi

Stable company with great benefits and auto growth incentive. Friendly co-workers & opportunities to relocate and grow. Continuing education is encouraged and compensated for. The recent time off changes will weed out the employees milking the sick time and permission leaves.

Svantaggi

Implemented a massive overhaul of claims reporting and claim processes that do not appear to be making a healthy impact on claims/customers. Company has taken a hard stance on metrics and #s and appears to have left "quality" in the rear view mirror. There is no "process" for claims reporting, thus anyone can report a claim without names/policy #, creating further delays. Requesting and granting of time off has become exhausting and frustrating. Employees are asked to request time off nearly 6 months in advance. Daily time off requests are subject to strict capacity that the Company has never clearly laid out. If you want a Friday off you're looking at least a month ahead, possibly more. Work life balance is not as employee friendly as it used to be.

Vantaggi

(At the time) Fair pay and predictable bonus structure They were pretty good at covering travel expenses and paying them back quickly Diverse workforce & diversity initiatives Fun and funny coworkers Opportunities for growth Again, this was all four years ago and has likely changed

Svantaggi

(At the time and now, according to other comments) Arrogant to a fault Total lack of innovation & willingness to innovate Odd attachment to the company's past (which prevents progress) High number of veterans (20+ years) who are determined to get that retirement money, and therefore, are resistant to change and technology Heavy reliance on command and control management style Poor decision-making that leads to losses of all kinds
