In working in a State Farm Agency you get the satisfaction of putting yourself to the test against your peers along with the feeling of comraderie and being apart of a successful orginization. It is also a great feeling when you connect with the customers and you feel like you are truly protecting them from life's risk. I also like working for the industry leader. Ultimately in an agency your compensation is based on your work ethic and creativity. i could not imagine working for another insurance company.

The underwriters can really rigid and at times I feel the overall culture is too uptight, but its hard to argue with the results. At times it can be overwhelming trying to balance the pressure from your agent to sell when the underwriters are so strict. The obvious and most frustrating part of the job is dealing with a customer who thinks they are getting ripped off. Of Course they do not realize their is absolutely nothing you can do about it. These customers confuse good business practices with greedy business practices. It also can be frustrating taking the heat for someone else's mistake.
