Vantaggi
I've read a lot about companies that put company culture first so that happy and engaged employees can take care of customers, which will subsequently result in business success. I'm delighted to have finally found a company where I can experience it first hand. The CEO and CTO (founders) are not afraid to invest time and money into people and culture, even pre-series B funding, because they realize people will determine how successful their business is. Their leadership sets the tone for others so you will find that all manager aligns with our values of being humble, supportive and giving and taking constructive feedback. I would describe the office vibe as 'relaxed with focus'. There are some really experienced and competent folks here and we are joined by people with very diverse backgrounds every week. Working on a gamechanger technology and potentially making a very big impact on our market is very exciting! For those that feel up to jumping in and making things happen at this stage of the company, the pay-off and reward will be significant both in terms of career growth and monetary. I've been pleasantly surprised that Stateless decided to pay full health (incl. vision and dental), life and disability without a cent coming off our base salary. Having recently moved to Boulder, CO myself I can vouch that this is an awesome space with a culture that loves the outdoor lifestyle! The view of the Flatirons from our kitchen is pretty nice.
Svantaggi
As long as there are humans in the workplace, workplaces will be human (i.e. not perfect). It has been refreshing to see how leadership deals with sensitive employee relations and owning when they #%@& up. Leaders communicate with transparent honesty when employees left or had to be let go and what was learned from the situation. We've gone through a patch of a few key engineers leaving, which was tough, but feel overall the team is in a really good space now and backfilled by some really impressive talent from all over the country.
