Fantastic people, for the most part, everyone is very friendly. I loved all my co-workers and the atmosphere was a fun one to work in.

Managers are overworked. There is no AGM position and generally, only one manager will run a department of up to 20 people with only 1-2 supervisors. The is pretty normal but the workload is insane. Not to mention the owner implements crazy ideas that generally hurt the business with little to no thought. Add free breakfast and take away from food sales? YES! Add cakes to be sold at all hotels with no research into who would provide cakes? YES! Ruin multiple family-owned businesses when we switch from cupcakes to different cupcakes to cookies? YUP! So beware, this is a company that is not afraid to burn bridges and use you like the pawn you are. The employees mean nothing to them and they show it. There is no employee appreciation program, no employee of the month or week. There are no incentives for employees to consistently do a good job, no bonuses come from pineapple except for really tacky poker chips work $5 each. Managers can't get them though, and managers also don't get bonuses if they are below GM level or not in sales. Also, Salaried managers cannot cash out PTO if they are salaried. Moving up in the company strips you of any good benefits you were getting before. No more tips, or extras really. In fact, you can count on working 10+ hour days and skipping lunch frequently. With the workload they pile on you, you will hardly have time to take a lunch anyway.
