Risposta di Stealth Components
12yWe had a sales meeting recently and asked the Account Executives what THEY thought were realistic sales goals and everyone voted that they should be higher than what they are right now. We have not increased the goals based on this but we wanted to have an open discussion regarding it. Additionally, the purchasing department has been moved so there have been no arguments between them and the owner and there has been no yelling. It's quite peaceful and our Account Executive are able to focus on doing their jobs and being successful.
To address the the statement regarding employees being fired after 3 months if they don't make sales goals...this is simply inaccurate. Everyone learns and catches onto new things differently. Sometimes people start making sales their first week and sometimes people take longer, even a couple of months. If someone is not putting in the effort which is resulting in them not making sales then this position isn't for them. We give all of our new hires ample time to learn the business and prove that they can be successful here.
There are advancement opportunities at Stealth Components and we only promote from within. We are not a large company, our office in Charlotte has 53 employees (13 in the Germany office) so no, we don't have promotion opportunities regularly but we do have them. Some people that have been with the company for many years have chosen to stay in the Account Executive position because they make great money and don't want to manage others because it takes time away from them being able to sell. We are building up our staff due to the increase in sales in 2013 which could lead to us need another Sales Manager in the next few months.
Stealth Components is a stable company, we surpassed last year's sales by mid-July and we are on track to possibly double last year's numbers.
