- The team. Leaders and peers alike are a joy to work with, they truly care, and they hire carefully to maintain a positive culture. - Openness to change. Leadership wants to hear from employees and genuinely values both feedback and new ideas. If you have an idea for a process improvement or new feature, you can expect to be encouraged to try it out. - Fully remote work environment, with great benefits. Not much else to say here! Can't complain! - High levels of trust. There's a lot of trust shared between leadership and employees. If you put in the work, you're not likely to get micro-managed and to some extent you can help choose what you work on.

- Startup hours. Because the team is small, there's some expectation that you'll put in the extra time. While leadership values work-life balance, there have been times I worked after hours or while on PTO. - Startup speed of change. Because Stem is growing rapidly, there is a LOT of change, which can be disorienting if you're not prepared to be super adaptable. - Unclear processes. Again, because Stem is a startup, there's a lot of room to improve and clarify processes. - Self-direction. This is a pro and con, in my mind. It's nice to be able to direct your own work, but if you're looking for specific direction from your managers, you'll likely have to pull it out of them. - The music industry. It's a different kind of beast, and if you're not passionate about it, you're likely to be frustrated by it.
