In 2025 the company rolled out a new job architecture that re-labeled nearly the entire ~200-person Marketing org. For most roles the change reads as a demotion (e.g., Head of/Director → Manager; Senior Manager → Senior Specialist; Manager → Specialist) with no change to job responsibilities. It was implemented top-down with no meaningful consultation, no FAQ, and no appeal window—employees were told to accept it. 100+ colleagues were affected. The new titles signal lower seniority in the market, don’t match actual responsibilities, and make employees less competitive for external opportunities—hurting career growth and compensation negotiations. Many who had worked hard for promotions saw their titles effectively downgraded, erasing hard-won progress without a clear rationale. Despite strong, consistent negative feedback, the company is pushing the change through, which is damaging morale and trust in how the company recognizes expertise and leadership.
