-Marginally weaker comp compared to MBB -WLB is terrible (standard for consulting) -Certain partners are very old school (not forward looking, not innovative, kind of creepy) -Projects are often Ops oriented or cost cutting, less “true strategy” projects which would be much more interesting -I think the days of “consulting is a great place to launch your career” are dying. After a couple years in the role I’m not really sure what I learned beyond PPT and some corporate jargon. It may still be a good way to sell your soul to corporate America, but there are better and higher comp ways of doing that if that’s really what you want to do with your life. My advice: Find a better/different way to spend your life because life is too short to be a consultant
