Vantaggi

• Working here was good for a fair while, until everything started to go downhill and they looked for scapegoats.

Svantaggi

• Claims to be remote-first but remote employees not in the Tel-Aviv office were often made to feel like second-class employees - with less benefits. • There was a lot of clear favoritism going on with the office staff. Remote employees had far less chances at opportunities and would often find out information later, as the office employees had their own separate all-hands calls and their own separate office channel on Slack - this favoritism was especially on show when the 20% of layoffs happened, of those 20% of employees laid off a whopping 95% were remote employees and only 5% were from the office. • Talented, qualified individuals were often overlooked for promotions. While people with far less knowledge and/or experience were promoted or hired to those positions instead. I witnessed this happening multiple times while working here. • There was a toxic culture where people were actively encouraged not to speak out against nonsense for fear of being let go due to supposed 'attitude issues'. There's this facade of a caring culture but behind it all there's a lot of backstabbing going on and ruling by fear - telling you that you're expected to accept and go along with nonsensical decisions or else. • Wages were competitive for some, but not all - many got lowball offers. • HR would say that they'll be there for you after your employment ends but then they'd ignore your emails endlessly. • Some people in the Executive team were out of touch and wouldn't listen to any advice, thinking that they know better than everyone else - often resulting in overworked, understaffed and underappreciated employees. • One Executive especially had a noticeably toxic attitude and would frequently talk down to people and belittle them any chance they got. Since he was one of the original investors he was essentially untouchable. • The company let go valuable, respected staff who'd been working at the company for years, which later turned out to cause major issues for those who relied on them and even then the company wouldn't admit that they made a mistake. • The layoff situation was extremely poorly handled, with some people and teams lied to during the process. • Benefits to remote employees were the bare minimum, with remote employees often asking when those benefits would become more competitive - just to get strung along with no definitive answer. • Instead of simply hiring more support staff, the existing support employees were encouraged to burn themselves out working overtime when they were stretched thin. Instead, chasing this pipedream of processes and automation supposedly bringing down workload - which after years isn't happening anywhere near quick enough. • On the Creator-facing side of the business, the layoff decisions were made by people who had literally no idea what many of the people they laid off did. This is something which they themselves often admitted - therefore they were ill-equipped to make those decisions and this was horrendously unfair on those laid off.
