Vantaggi

Very laid-back. Small team, fully remote. Interesting product with lots of space to explore.

Svantaggi

Subpar compensation. Nonexistent direction. Cancelled all team members' paid time off over the Christmas holiday with no warning. Parent company is currently trying to extract as much value from Stronglink (née StrongBox Data Solutions) as possible. They've effectively beheaded the company and are actively driving it into the ground by spending development time on "features" that are branded in a way that is at best misleading to their potential customers and at worst plain fallacious.

Vantaggi

Great company. Very rewarding to work for a company that delivers a product that addresses a real-life customer data management challenge. Industry has needed something like this for years. Really enjoy working with my colleagues and management - true professionals and knowledge experts in their field with a passion for delivering value to the customer and helping them to find a solution to their challenges. Start-up mentality where people work well together as a team, as well as individually to contribute to the growth of the company and each other.

Svantaggi

Has typical challenges that you would expect with a company that is growing this quickly.

Vantaggi

Work remotely. Provides a work/life balance. Benefits were good.

Svantaggi

Newer management lacks necessary skills to motivate employees. stuck in old ways of doing things. Tries to lead by fear. No real room for advancement. CEO states employees can talk to him anytime, but when you try, you're told not to (by others within the company). So I would have to say chalk that up to lack of open communication. The top management does not give the impression it cares about it's employees or their needs. They would rather just use a dead way of creating leads and not focusing on what's going on in today's world and all the social media we have available to market ourselves. Creating a "call center" type of environment isn't effective, especially when we all work remotely.

Your role was sales, and I'm sorry you had a hard time getting traction. There is plenty of room for advancement as others have done, but part getting ahead in this sales role was to generate leads and new business. You were given lots more resources and repeated training. Sorry it didn't work out for you and that the results where not what either of us wanted.
