Vantaggi

Great place to work if you want just for quick cash. Till you find a new job. Coworkers are very nice, usually. The manager/supervisor is nice and understanding, but is new to the position. You can take your lunch and breaks whenever you want. You can listen to music while you work.

Svantaggi

1. If you don't work first shift, you basically have no life outside of work(especially if you're not a morning person). It is an ideal job for individuals who are single or have no outside personal responsibilities. 2. Clocking in early doesn't get you paid more; it just makes you not late to the job. So if you come to work 15 minutes early, don't work until your clock-in time. 3. Clocking out after your scheduled clock-out time doesn't get you any extra money on your paycheck. The only way to get overtime is by working 16 minutes past your scheduled clock-out time. Overtime has to be approved. Once your scheduled time hits, you're done with work and clock out. 4. Since this is not the main operation of the company, the support is realistically not there. If you ask to have something replaced(equipment) that is clearly making the job harder for anyone who is using it. They will have someone 'fix it.' It will not be fixed. 5. Get ready to get hurt and cut up. Due to the lack of new safe equipment of lot of times the equipment will simply slip or stop working right when you're in the middle of an order. Now orders are due usually the next day or two, so you think you have time. You don't. Carry your own first aid kit because you will need it. Get some high-quality steel-toed shoes or boots because YOU WILL NEED THEM. Bug spray(endless amounts of mosquitoes and gnats). Highly suggest wearing long pants, so if you do get cut, it won't deep. 6. Communication...one of the WORST companies to work for if you care about communication. Just assume most of the time, the best thing you can do. Upper-management will only bother you if you mess up, don't have an order done, or want you do something that takes up a lot of your time. If you have a question, ask it the second you get to work. It will take a while for you to get an answer. 7. Granted, the work isn't super hard once, or if you get used to the old forklifts that are somehow 'still' compliant with regulations and safety standards. Wear gloves and triple-check your work. before you finish an order. Double-check before you make any movement with the lift. 8. Endless amount of potholes in the yard will make your orders take longer because you will have to learn how to navigate around them, or just get stuck in them.
