There are some great people that work at JFS, and they really help make a difference with the staff. The pay is decent for a data entry job where a computer makes all the decisions for you. Sometimes we are still able to help clients get benefits. You go in and do your 9-5 and go home.

When admin ended the ability to WFH, things have been going downhill ever since. Employees are finding other opportunities because admin is not willing to entertain any suggestions or allow any WFH unless it benefits them. JFS has lost about 30% of their staff due to WFH being revoked. HR-1 also caused many changes to SNAP benefits, which has resulted fewer clients actually getting help. The change in cost sharing is also taking a toll on the staff as their cases are being scrutinized heavily. Work life balance is gone. Staff morale is horrible. Admin has no retention plan and there are not enough people to complete all the work. There is no communication from admin or the union.
