Suno presents itself as a forward-thinking, creative company, but the internal reality is the opposite. The culture is deeply anti-intellectual. There’s little appetite for critical thinking, nuance, or rigorous exploration of ideas. Speed and output are prioritized over thoughtfulness, which results in a constant stream of half-baked concepts and shallow execution. If you care about craft, taste, or building something meaningful, this environment will feel frustrating very quickly. Management style leans heavily toward control and monitoring. There is an underlying lack of trust — your time and presence are closely watched, and autonomy is limited. This is compounded by a rigid 5-day in-office policy, even though the vast majority of work can clearly be done remotely. The disconnect between policy and actual work needs is hard to ignore. The organization itself feels chaotic and politically driven. Priorities shift frequently, alignment is weak, and decision-making often lacks clarity or strategic grounding. There’s also a noticeable absence of aesthetic sensibility or product taste, which shows up in both the work and the direction of the company. For a company in a creative field, the complete and utter lack of taste or any sensibility is striking. There’s no clear point of view, no strong editorial bar, and no real sense of what good looks like. If you take even a brief look at the website / the product/ any of the actual music made on it (let alone the music 'artwork', youll quickly understand this. Overall, this is not an environment that supports deep thinking, creativity, or high-quality work. It may be a fit if you thrive in fast, unstructured environments and are comfortable executing quickly without much reflection — but for those looking to do thoughtful, rigorous, or culturally meaningful work, it’s likely to feel misaligned. If you value autonomy, thoughtful work, or being around people who take ideas and music seriously, this is just not the place and stay far away.
