Svantaggi
The company is at an inflection point and is now going into "grow at all costs" mode. Unfortunately, the caliber of leadership brought in and the decision-making, particularly on the Sales side, is concerning. Over this last year, decision-makers and leaders have all come from the same company, contributing to a growing rift between the Grammarly of old and the Grammarly of new. Cliques have formed due to the lack of diversity, and there is apparent favoritism and unfair treatment. The recent layoffs were an example of this; not a single employee who was an alumni of this same company (where leaders and others have come in) was affected by the layoff. Furthermore, this same leadership has set a precedent that you can be shown the door if you disagree with how they are doing something. The result is a lot of the employees still on board are afraid to speak up and have lost complete trust in the leadership team. The way the layoffs were addressed in the days following was highly unprofessional, and right now, it feels like leadership is doing everything they can to buy back trust. In any business, it is essential that people feel they can voice their opinions or do things in different ways; you can't do that right now. Leadership has proven to be cutthroat and disingenuous in multiple matters. They would tell you that it's "just business", and I understand business decisions are complex and need to be made sometimes. But I can't sit here and tell you truthfully that I believe the company is going down the right path with the lack of transparency and how actually deceitful I think some of our leaders are. The last thing I'll add is that a colleague affected by the layoff never heard from their direct manager, no "thank you" or "I'm sorry", just radio silence. The lack of empathy for those affected and the way they have been addressed for the rest of us is astounding.
