Presents a great environment and a family-friendly, "fun" atmosphere that matches the ad campaigns and signage in retail stores. A friendly place to be and not hard to stick around. T-Mobile does a nice job ensuring that workers are fairly compensated and that there are adequate numbers of team members to do the job available. In addition, the company has a progressive community support program and makes and effort to participate in the communities it serves. T-Mobile is a good corporate citizen.

Some of the very values used to promote individuality and success at T-Mobile are also used to enforce conformity and small-mindedness at the same company. It can be very hard to succeed when it becomes evident that the "friendliness" is not actually a vehicle for success. There is too much bureaucracy for the size of the company, and it's often difficult to determine how to get a project funded or move anything forward. T-Mobile is a very political place, which is a benefit when you are in favor and a severe career-limiting factor when you are not in favor. Lastly, the performance management process is flat-out broken, with the value of "blue chips" changing from department to department and from quarter to quarter. The place is not built for the future, but for next week.
