Leadership team consists primarily of individuals with little to no previous startup experience or even software company experience. Tech stack is outdated at best, and well underinvested. Don’t even consider if you’re looking for NODE, REACT, AI, or Machine Learning. These words exist on the marketing website, sales decks, and RFPs ONLY. However, if you want to work on boutique technologies that you won’t be able to transfer elsewhere, this is the place for you! A heavily operationally-focused service model that bills like a SAAS company. No equity for employees...very abnormal for a startup. Post-acquisition bonus checks are nothing compared to executives with equity. A culture of hiring, promoting, and retaining friends and family. The opposite of a meritocratic environment. So much so, that the company abolished performance reviews.
