After the eBay acquisition, the company underwent major changes that significantly affected both employees and customers. Over 200 employees, including many long-time contributors, were laid off during the restructuring. The fulfillment center closure appeared to happen quickly, and order processing times increased from under a week to over a month in many cases. Advancement opportunities were limited, and despite being encouraged to apply internally, movement into new roles was inconsistent and seemed influenced by internal dynamics.
