Vantaggi
The 401k matching was above average, tuition reimbursement was available (not great but better than nothing), and the company promotes tolerance and acceptance of all people.
Svantaggi
I worked in 3 different departments during the 5+ years I worked at TD. Retail banking - great place to start for young people (look to move on after a year) or for part time mom's who just want to get out of the house, earn a small check - TONS OF PRESSURE TO MAKE SALES.... Loan Processing - absolutely inundated with work, unrealistic expectations from management, negative environment; Small Business Credit Center - this was the best of the 3 environments and most enjoyable, least pressured job. Still not a team environment. OVERALL - taking all jobs into account I can tell you it is VERY HARD to ever move up here. One step up is a measly 3% raise. Salary is awful here (probably different for exec's). In 2010 I started at $12 an hour. When I left I was making $17+ and I always had extremely good reviews. Most people never get the coveted "E" for excellent, I got it several times consecutively but still no chance to move up here. Every job I got by applying to a million postings and barely getting any interviews, but I interview well and usually landed the job if i could get the interview. None of my job changes were due to simply receiving a promotion or networking. It was just like applying to jobs at an outside company. START HERE BUT LEAVE AFTER A YEAR IF YOU CAN!!!!
