After taking the longest, most tedious entry exam I've ever seen for a job (Took me a week of studying and around 5 hours of answering surveys) - I haven't actually been able to complete almost any work whatsoever. Why? Because there's almost never any tasks to do!!!! TELUS DELIBERATELY hides the lack of paid tasks available until AFTER you've completed their overly long entry exam - so that you're already committed when they drop the news on you. "There's a possibility of tasks occasionally running out" - yeah no, there's almost NEVER any tasks available, leaving you to sit there all day wasting your time, refreshing the page and making no money for your day. After more preparation and time consumption I've ever experienced in a hiring process, I've made less than 30 euros in TWO WEEKS!! And what do they say in response?? "We're sorry for the inconvenience. Keep checking daily to see if any tasks come in!" So you're telling me... I need to sit in front of my computer every day, refreshing the page in the HOPES to make some money? After you took a week of my time to "prove" myself worthy of this worthless, exploitative scam of a job? I've realized now why the entry exam is so complex and long and requires you to study the entire guideline manual of the job before you've even started: TELUS wants you to train yourself before you've started, so that they don't have to invest any resources in your formation - why? Because they know that these terrible, terrible conditions will make 90% of their data analysts quit after a week... But that's no problem for them! Because you just trained yourself for free! Then, they get another batch of poor fools who don't know what they're in for, send them the 270 PAGE MANNUAL REQUIRED FOR THE EXAM - and say "good luck!". No investment on their part, so they don't care if you quit a week later because you've made NO money because there's NO WORK TO EVEN DO! It's terrible, manipulative, exploitative, cheating corporate behavior of the worst kind. These practices should be illegal and punished by the law but, of course, it's "fReLaNcE" so I guess it's my fault for trusting them in the eyes of the law!!!!! Avoid this job and this company at all costs - they're barely half a step up from a genuine, literal scam.
