Vantaggi
The platform and technology is interesting. Too bad it is hindered by people who think they know better.
Svantaggi
Terray is a company going through a significant amount of growth coupled with internal politics associated with that growth, making it a difficult place to work at times. A majority of the managers lack proper leadership skills because they got their position due to nepotism and not because they were the best person for the job. A lot of empty promises and false hope is given to employees who ask to do more in their roles. They rush to produce for their ~novel platform~ instead of giving employees the time and authority to do things properly. They will pigeon hole you into a role and expect more of you as a grunt worker but don't give you the resources/ability to grow professionally. You'll be trusted to overwork yourself but when you have a suggestion to improve things you'll be shot down. Egos are so huge they would rather continue to be disorganized and wonder why things are going wrong than listen to their employees who have solid input. Of course none of this applies if you happen to be someone’s favorite. There’s a reason they hire new grads (whether that’s at the undergrad, master’s, or PhD level). And there’s a reason decent workers willingly leave. Terray doesn’t care about employee retention. Firing and hiring is inconsistent, due to nepotism and favoritism. Open complaints get swept under the rug and patterns of negative behavior won’t get punished if you’re favored. Some people's complaints aren't taken seriously while others' complaints (whether valid or not) will lead to someone being fired (often abruptly). This has happened multiple, multiple times. Terray is not a collaborative environment. Managers don’t value employees unless you’re high up enough on the totem pole. Benefits are nice but there is more to company culture than good healthcare, unlimited PTO, communal free lunch, and team building events.
