The benefits are great. Fun peers on my team. Completely remote. No micro managing that i have experienced. My manager is supportive. Company shut down at the end of the year. Once a year salary and promotion reviews (just had one). Family environment. They really care if you are going through something and will offer EAP or therapy type services. They provide everything you need to get your job done. Townhall meetings.

We went through a small layoff (a dozen or so) in June and morale was temporarily down. The company pulled itself out of a difficult situation and you can see that it is back on track. Working for a startup can be challenging as it’s a “as we go” approach. Being completely remote is not for everyone, but I enjoy the independence. There are times you wish you could socialize more. It takes effort to make time for it as you are not casually walking past someone’s desk.
