Instead of discussion with the goal to find a solution that suits both parties it is common to "put employees in their place" and make them justify why they are not better, faster...etc. - In fact it is impossible to fulfill the official expectations but as long as you are a "yes-person" nobody will care. As soon as you dare to stand up against wrong-doing they will start to use everything against you. - Propagandized values of the company are not followed in reality - Even if you are sick they will call you at home on your private phone
