The yearly conference was always a highlight- a lot of thought and money went into this- until the business wanted to save money to invest into computer systems and not staff recognition. I worked with some amazing people who I will call friends for life. But we still regularly reminisce about the struggles we faced when working for this company.

I was inspired to write this post after coming across another glass door review where the company proclaimed it was a fake review but as a previous employee I agree with most of the statements. By referring to it as a fake review team prevent are once again minimising the mental health of their employees - as an occupational health provider. I worked at team prevent because it was close to home and I needed money and at the start I really enjoyed my job. Team Prevent has a very “if you’re face fits” approach to their management. Staff with little experience were promoted quickly through the ranks because they were part of “cliques”. People were often given jobs that weren’t advertised. Staff who got on well with directors were favoured for promotional opportunities. I asked for unpaid leave but this was refused and shortly after senior directors were allowed months off at a time to travel the world. There are little HR services for staff to air their concerns, HR services are aimed at paperwork and requests over advice for work related or stress related issues. Management are unprofessional and issues would go unresolved. There has always been little trust in managers and there was terrible communication so concerns could not be raised. I felt very overworked with huge responsibilities, lower level managers suffered with this too so could do little to help improve working practices. I would not recommend this employer.
