Fancy employee events etc. Mostly great coworkers, some truly brilliant people.

I have worked at TRL for years now and it always seems to come down to the same complaints. It’s difficult to express true feelings to your management for fear of retaliation. Some of the upper management (especially the sister) express an attitude of being better than the people whom make them their money. The turn over rate is insane! There isn’t a schedule for raises and you have to literally beg for one. We are expected and demanded to work crazy overtime sometimes having to get a hotel because of the hours on the road have exceeded what’s safe. This company is notorious for saying they have your back and wanting you to make decisions etc but when you do you are criticized and all the blame is placed on you. There have been a handful of coworkers that have left TRL that were all exceptional people and who broke their backs for this company and every time I’m shocked that they just let them go without batting an eye.

My heart broke when I read this review, it’s truly the opposite of what we like to hear. I want to thank you for writing it, giving us all a chance to reflect on what you might have experienced. I want to personally apologize for your unpleasant experience at TRL and for the part I played in making your time at TRL less than optimal. We spend a lot of time and energy trying to make TRL a great place to work and socialize, with our events, employee surveys and open-door policies, it is truly important to us that our TRL team understands that they are valuable and important to our success. I know that I can come off as aloof or stressed and that is something that I work on every day. The truth is that I’m an introvert and a perfectionist. I’m usually thinking "darn it, I could have done that better" or "why didn’t see that coming?" I’m in my own head a lot of the time.
