Vantaggi
I began my working student tenure with the company in Mid-March 2020, exactly when companies began shifting to remote working set-ups. Despite the challenges that came with this, I felt the very supportive and welcoming work culture at TSCNET from the very start, as colleagues from all departments and hierarchy levels reached out to me to introduce themselves, offer support in a variety of areas and assist me with questions about processes that were new to me. Moreover, I was supported whenever I suggested new projects and ideas and encouraged to implement them. As a result, I felt like a real part of the team right away, despite not having met the majority of my colleagues in person. Six months into the job, I can say that TSCNET holds up greatly to its leadership values and that my initial positive impression only grew with time. The management ensures that employees have what they need to do a good job, it encourages personal and professional developments and created a diverse environment, where one can thrive among kind colleagues from all across the globe.
Svantaggi
Due to the nature of the energy sector, which is rather conservative, it is not always possible to implement large-scale changes. While progress is desired and encouraged, it is slower than in other sectors. One needs to be aware of that before working in the energy sector in general, though, so I did not have any issues with it.
