Vantaggi
Really great staff who genuinely care about persons served, lots of work available at good wages for people looking for assisted work, staff communicate well with residential staff and the teams working with persons served, lots of community integration available for people who are unable to work, the Employment Specialists who work here are fun! You can also learn about case management while working here because there is a small caseload for many of the working positions here. The Employment Specialist position at Lakeridge is somewhat like a direct care professional, but workers also have a caseload of 3 or 4 that they do paperwork for and attend meetings for (annuals, paperwork for quarterlies, etc.). So there is not a lot of paperwork, but if someone were to stay here for 4 years or so, they would have case management experience. There can be high turnover at times, so I hope people who apply here would want to stay for at least that much time. The pay is competitive and there are raises.
Svantaggi
Sometimes there are miscommunications between management at the transportation department and residential staff.
