Leadership seems focused more on money than on people. Fear, favoritism, and displeasure framed as “coaching” by some in leadership often take the place of real support, so following orders and conformity take precedence. Many managers don’t seem very experienced, which leads to weaker hiring and uneven processes. It doesn’t feel safe to speak up, and surveys that claim to be anonymous don’t really feel that way, so employees hold back. Some workers get obvious special treatment, while others lose trust and status quickly if they don’t go along. New hires often come from places with the same problems, which only makes things worse.
