Vantaggi
I absolutely loved my team. They were all incredibly talented and deserved to be compensated much more than they were. I had a great people manager. He saw my value and did everything in his power to elevate me and compensate me with what I deserved. I enjoyed being fully remote and valued the benefits. Healthcare was pretty basic, but the unlimited PTO, sick time, and full-paid parental leave were very nice.
Svantaggi
We didn't receive the yearly marketing budget until either the end of the first quarter or the beginning of the second quarter, leaving those first crucial months with little to no direction on goals, strategies, and spend. They justified it by saying we operate on a "5-quarter" year, but still were measured on performance based on a 4-quarter year. They offer "quarterly bonuses" based on your performance and the company's overall performance, however, you only see 3 bonuses a year because it takes them almost two months to disperse it to you - I never saw a "full year's" bonus. The acquisition also embodied a "promotion cap", meaning if you were to get promoted to a role that was being marketed at a certain range for outside candidates, you could only get promoted an additional 20% of your current salary - regardless of if you've earned what it was being marketed at. Very poor leadership and direction. I would not recommend working for this company. At least not in its current state. I feel like everyone is jumping ship.
