I do like that they have pretty good health insurance (medical, restricted dental and vision, and even pet!). Most of the sites have great flexibility, and the clinics will usually try to find a way to accommodate employees' schedules whenever possible. A lot of the employees at the lower level (MAs/reception) are pretty good team players and will help out coworkers at other sites if they have questions or need info. They provide some time off for continuing education, so a lot of employees here will end up transferring/rising to higher positions within the clinics. I do get some satisfaction knowing that, between different departments (medical/dental/eligibility [insurance], etc), we are helping members of the community be safe, healthy, and insured in the future. :)

We are definitely underpaid and we don't get significant raises. We get a few-cent "raise" every few years; we do get cost-of-living pay adjustments, but I wouldn't consider that a raise. A lot of the sites work a bit differently, and our call center department, which schedules a good chunk of all appointments, tends to schedule appointments incorrectly - they're just not on top of updated scheduling guidelines, which created extra work for the different sites. I say this as someone who also helped in that department - we were given information 2-3 weeks after the main sites had already implemented changes. A lot of our pediatric providers are wonderful, but most adult medicine providers are so-so, and a couple of them are almost impossible to work with. Favoritism is definitely an issue - you'll sometimes see someone getting promoted when they haven't shown any drive or reason to get promoted.
