The Weave Shop in Hillside has bad management. The two male managers allow violence and hostility in the workplace. There is a physical fight here at least every year or so. People won't be penalized besides one or two week suspensions. If you are a receptionist, you will be doing a lot of work for just above minimum wage. If you are an assistant manager, you will be doing three times as work with little pay. No benefits at all with this business, not even sick time or paid leave. If you are a stylist, beware. You will be overworked without reasonable breaks. You will also have to pay your co-workers from your own paycheck (the braiders). There is also a lot of favoritism here. If you can apply anywhere else, do so. You will be extremely unhappy, overworked and underpaid here. Count your paychecks dollar for dollar every week if you do.
