Vantaggi

Good Pay & Benefits Often higher hourly wage than regular retail. Includes health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and employee discounts. Job Stability Target is a large company with consistent demand, so distribution work tends to be steady. Overtime Opportunities Plenty of chances for overtime, especially during peak seasons (holidays, back-to-school). Career Growth Pathways to move into team lead, trainer, or supervisor roles if you want advancement. Physical Work Good fit if you like active jobs and don’t want to sit at a desk all day. Team-Oriented Environment

Svantaggi

Physically Demanding Heavy lifting, long hours on your feet, fast pace. Can be tough on the body over time. Repetitive Work Tasks like picking, packing, loading, and unloading can become monotonous. Strict Productivity Standards You’re often timed and tracked. Falling behind quotas may cause stress or write-ups. Shift Schedules Many DCs run 24/7, so shifts can include nights, weekends, or very early mornings. Long shifts (10–12 hours) are common. Peak Season Stress During holidays or sales events, workload and pressure increase significantly. Work-Life Balance Overtime is good for paychecks, but it can limit personal time.

Vantaggi

- pay is competitive with no degree - Some flexibility for lead hours you work - insurance is very good

Svantaggi

- added way more to the leads plate with no raise in money - expect the leads to have difficult conversations with team members even though we our team members ourselves and most of the time doesn’t turn out good for the leads. - no overtime for leads so warehouse workers make more money with a month or two of overtime depending on where you are at in pay scale. - Yearly raises are terrible and if you start at the bottom and take the average yearly raise it will take 20 years to cap out - leads rarely get promoted to operational manager even though the company pretends to promote from within. A lead has been promoted in almost two years since I have been here. -operational managers hired are a joke and don’t understand whatever department they are hired to besides hitting the required numbers for the day. - Operational mangers treat team members like a number and pretend to care about you - They continue to hire outside the company for operational managers that should never be one and continue to fail. Leadership for departments changes often due to this process.
