There are no longer any hours to accomplish any work anymore. There are multiple rasons for this. The company just recently did a software update and that update has destroyed the process for putting things in their proper way and they have decided to not correct it. It has resulted in much more work for the backroom people which takes away from the Salesfloor. As salesfloor, it is your responsibility to act as the fluid that keeps the gears of the store in motion. You are assigned to everywhere and nowhere at the same time. As Planogram, you hours to set things up are gone, you will primarily do this while backing up the salesfoor. So the work is not going to get done unless you have help from another group which is unlikely at best. This has resulted in a majority of them faking it to appear better so stores have new merchandise in the backroom that is not going out to customers and you will take the blame for it. Management does listen but they do not particularly care. You can be yelled at by five different customers at once and they will not lift a finger to help you out. Your ideas are sweetly rejected. Corporate is the worst however. If at anytime, somebody shows competence in their job, then they are going to be terminated or their position is going away soon. They actively encourage managers to cut hours from all departments to create extra work and cut down on costs but we are well beyond the point of net return here. Moving up in the Chain: It is definitly a popularity contest. The upper management are usually same age group (young) and they want people their own ages. If they do not see you doing something or you take over something so that it becomes part of the daily routine, then you will not be credited for it.
