Vantaggi
Above average acceptance of remote workers and flexible hours. Doesn't usually take itself too seriously compared to many companies. I've seen people make career moves into different departments that have turned out well for them.
Svantaggi
There's a real lack of camaraderie and culture. There doesn't seem to be a longterm vision, and there's not a focus on quality, which can be demoralizing. Many teams including Product come as an afterthought. You will feel like your time is not respected. While there are obviously critical points when a team has to come together, too often it feels like you're working into your weekend or vacation for something that easily could have been scheduled at a better time. While there are some people eager to grow the company and come in with a smile, sadly many more aren't excited to start the day and are eager to leave. It's viewed as just a job to pay the bills. Much of the technology used is ancient, from conferencing that rarely works to IT 'solutions' that are inadequate. People between departments do not mingle, and are sometimes treated with hostility. You'll hear people openly say "let their department deal with it", when talking about how to approach a problem wether it be in Support, Development, or Sales. 'Why spend our time on it when someone else can deal with it?' seems to be the attitude. There's not much of a feeling that we're in it together.
