The "First Impression" Trap: Many of the "fun" aspects feel most prominent during the nesting or initial stages; the excitement can taper off once you are fully integrated into production. Parking Infrastructure Issues: While free parking is advertised, the allocation is unbalanced. Motorcycle parking is often at full capacity, making the benefit unusable for many, while car slots remain empty. Stagnant Career Progression: While there are opportunities for growth, the "Apprentice" status lasts far too long. It can feel like you’re doing the work of a higher role without the official title or pay for an extended period. Management-Employee Disconnect: Despite the "People First" core value, some Senior Operations Managers (SOMs) prioritize being "Client Pleasers." Decisions are often made to satisfy the client without considering the feedback of the people on the production floor. Administrative Friction: Issues with salary disputes persist, which can be stressful and take time to resolve, impacting overall morale.

Loved the LXL management chain. Supportive, fun, progress-minded. The company as a whole was okay, but the department I was with made it amazing. Lots of opportunities to develop skills. Absolutely incredible visibility for diversity, which is celebrated and respected without hesitation.

Very high demand. Can be very challenging to learn how to balance work and breathing room without falling behind. Many other departments were quick to blame the LXL department in front of highly regarded stakeholders for failures that were not of our own. Pay also changes depending on the client you work with. My client was the highest paying client at the time I was employed. The LXLs working for the branch-off of work from my client were paid much more than I due to the intensity of the work. My pay was considered the cap for where I was, and getting a raise that was not just a few pennies was not going to happen. Moving up is possible but limited. Due to this company being a BPO, if the client no longer needs our work, we are liable to be laid off. Employees are not contracted, but TaskUs is contracted to the client. Layoffs are a possibility, be it near or far. I was laid off after 4 years and saw many waves of many sizes laid off while there.
