Entrenched senior management is very poor for the following reasons 1) no overall strategic vision or ability to establish long-term or even short-term goals. Consequently, decision-making is arbitrary and vacillates continually. 2) leadership lacks people skills; behaves unprofessionally and sometimes abusively toward employees. Senior management interaction with subordinates is erratic and volatile; bullying incidents are not infrequent, including humiliating public outbursts. 3) leadership is closed to new ideas unless they can take credit. 4) attempts to make improvements are blocked by politics, bureaucracy and chronic micromanagement. This is an extremely frustrating, unrewarding environment for those who don't want to just punch a clock. If you are seeking a place where you can better yourself and the company, this is NOT the place for you.
