Vantaggi
If you want to succeed at TACO, you need to excel in corporate politics. Other skills don't matter much because the business thrives on the TATA name. You need to have good "special spoon" skills (i.e.flattery and buttering up superiors) to get a good position and salary. Central Purchase & Central Sales: Stay away from both departments. Job roles are consultative without proper support, resulting in the highest attrition rate, thanks to the leadership. All TACO business units operate on a build-to-print concept with no technology innovation. The "supply chain division" functions as a trading unit with Zero Value addition, purchasing from local vendors and selling globally. There is no control over local vendors, and they often stop supplies. The attrition rate is very high. (Employee +Vendor) TACO HR, both at the corporate office and business unit level, act merely as puppets for other teams.
Svantaggi
Work-life balance is the worst. Senior management is not ready to change the outdated job culture from the 1960s, 70s, and 80s. The old mindset prevails. There is a lot of show-off under the TATA name, but in reality, performance is poor at all business unit levels (a "Bol Bachchan" team). At the BU head level, BU heads take high salaries while delegating all job responsibilities to their teams. They merely pass FYI and NA emails down the line. BU heads travel the world and share useless Gyan with their teams.
