So first of all, I'd like to offer up a reminder that on this site, just like any other review website, its probably wise to take all of the 5-star reviews and 1 star reviews with a massive grain of salt. This is because the 5-star reviews (specifically the ones that pretend there are no cons at all about working here) were most likely written by management or someone else paid to write it. I dont say this to invalidate all of the 5 star reviews, there are probably some very genuine reviews of people who just genuinely love working here and see no flaws. Similarly, dont take the 1 stars too seriously. The majority of those reviews are built on a kernel of truth of a flaw within the company, and then exaggerated beyond all credible belief. For example, I can say with absolute certainty that management is not an uncaring flock of monsters actively seeking the destruction of the employees they manage. They are people, and just like most people they make mistakes, and they also have the undesirable task of passing bad news along to us. If you come in with the pre-supposition that management hates you personally, its easy to interpret these instances as personal attacks against your career. That being said, I'm also not trying to invalidate those one star reviews. Though I tend to think they are grossly exaggerated, some of those reviews are founded around very valid complaints. With all of that being said, lets get into the actual pros here. To start, overall it really is a great work environment with friendly coworkers, and they do throw special fundraisers, parties and employee appreciation events all the time. I personally have made several friends with people I would have never otherwise gotten to know. Secondly, you will get out of this what you put in, if you work hard and try to have a good attitude, it can be a very rewarding work experience. And my personal experience with scheduling is that they tend to establish clear rules upfront to the whole company, and then they are flexible with those rules when it comes to individual cases later on (To be fair I have heard some stories about scheduling nightmares from other workers, so maybe I've just been lucky, but I do think my positive experience with regards to scheduling is worth noting). What it all comes down to is this, overall, it really is a good place to work with good values and good people.

There are a few cons worth noting here. First of all, there's no getting around it, its way to hard to advance personally. New positions and promotions dont open up nearly enough for a growing company considering opening a second branch in the US. And the pay raise situation needs to be revisited. This is an issue that goes all the way up to the owner of the company, and I do have faith that management is working on our behalf to try and resolve this, but it would be nice to see some long standing promises delivered. Other than that, management is apparently paralyzed with fear that we, a diverse group of adults, may have ideas that others dont agree with. This has led to an annoying ban on all talk political or religious. More on this in the advice to management section. It is worth noting however, that none of what I just mentioned above is necessarily malicious. I do believe management has good hearts and wants whats best for their employees, there's just a few things the company needs to re-evaluate as a whole.
