Many of the issues faced within the organization could be resolved by having effective and supportive manager in your team. Below are some key observations in my team which all indicate management issue from our manager: 1. Glassdoor Reviews: Employees are frequently encouraged to leave positive reviews on Glassdoor, which may not fully reflect the reality within the organization. Internally, there are numerous complaints that are not mentioned in these reviews. 2. Management Challenges: In some teams, certain managers hold unchecked authority and may terminate employees without clear justification or accountability. 3. HR Escalation Risks: Escalating concerns to HR can sometimes lead to negative consequences for employees, including eventual termination, as some managers appear to be immune to oversight or corrective action. 4. Unclear Role Prerequisites: Job prerequisites are not consistently applied, which can lead to questionable hiring decisions. For instance, there have been cases where individuals with only six years of experience and no significant achievements were hired as directors to oversee senior employees with over 15 years of experience in multinational organizations. In many reputable companies, such decisions would require justifiable rationale, such as exceptional talent, which was not evident in these cases. 5. Managerial Autonomy: When questioned about such decisions, a senior director stated they had complete authority to hire individuals with little or no experience for critical roles. This lack of checks and balances can undermine team morale and organizational standards. 6. Lack of Recognition: Some managers fail to acknowledge the contributions of their teams. In some cases, they neglect to assess or recognize the work of the entire team throughout the year. Escalating these concerns can feel unsafe, as employees fear repercussions. 7. Career Progression Concerns: Senior employees with extensive experience often find themselves reporting to less experienced individuals who may not appreciate their technical expertise. This creates frustration and a lack of motivation among seasoned professionals. 8. Fear of Retaliation: There is a need for clear policies and guarantees that employees will not face retaliation for escalating concerns about management. Without such assurances, the work environment can become toxic, making it difficult for leadership to identify and address managerial shortcomings. 9. Promotion and Appraisal Issues: In some teams, there is little to no opportunity for promotion or meaningful recognition. For example, one manager has consistently refused to promote employees over a period of 3.5 years, regardless of their performance. Employees performance can be intentionally evaluated every year as "meets expectations" every year regardless of the outcome just to avoid promoting any employee. This has created a stagnant environment where team members feel undervalued and demotivated. 10. General Environment: While some teams may not experience these issues, others face significant challenges due to ineffective management. A supportive and accountable leadership framework is crucial for fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Strategic plans are not clear. The competencies and skills between colleagues have a big variance. Not a good place to do research or serious work. More product oriented but there is no professional product or marketing team.
