Holiday events, the CEOS wife was the sweetest lady.
Svantaggi
Techworld, from the outside looking in, looks like a great motivated company. But once you get in, it is the complete opposite. They always wanted things done, but were never willing to pay market-price on the people doing the work. They would micro-manage hours to the point of where you get yelled at for 1 hour over, either know they wanted their project done. They always think that it shouldn't take as much time as thing actually do, such as videos, graphics and animations. They would ask you how long it would take to do something, you tell them— and they completely ignore it and give you a different time. This happened one time during some motion graphic videos that they had to translate and remake. They said it should take me 1 hour to do all 10 after effects videos, i told them that some of these will really need some work, they didn't believe me until I told them to call and animation teacher of mine. The teacher, who wasn't payed market price for her help, told time that it could take up to 2 hours per video to recreate, and after that they still had a hard time understanding that. When it came time for personal days, they would always make we feel bad about going to the doctor. Even if there was no work to be done, they would have rather had me sit there and do nothing, rather than leaving early to take care of myself. They let me and others go because of lack of work— after collecting unemployment, they would randomly call up and ask you to come in for a few hours and if you couldn't because of some reason, they would hang your unemployment over your head. No employer should be that rude to disrupt everything after letting you go. Granted, they did help me become faster at what i do now, but that is one of the only good outcomes of Techworld that I can say.
