the rounds of retrenchments that came by year on year makes everyone jittery. we have good colleagues who work hard and all, but management/SLT are too high up to understand the implications when axing certain staff. it used to be great before covid. during covid was still acceptable, but the past few years the shift in what they want to focus changes all the time. i have witnessed people who are really good changed to nasty due to the job nature. jaded and sarcastic because the culture wears them down. i was one of those that got T-30ed...
