Vantaggi

This is a great place to get your start in the cybersecurity/tech field. People are kind and helpful. It is a family company so there are some pros/cons depending on what you are looking for. Free snacks, cool people to work with, and some opportunities for growth. If this is your first gig, you should be proud of yourself! Tevora is the place to learn about yourself and your career. It is generally a younger culture, so think of a semi startup.

Svantaggi

Now, the part that everyone always looks at heavily, the cons. As mentioned above, this is a family company therefore nepotism is rampant. One must be careful when they interact with a colleague because you never really know who they are connected to. They encourage referrals of family members and friends. Do not be surprised if someone's son/daughter/brother/sister/mother/father is on the same team. Also, don't be surprised if said referrals are not fit for the role they are hired into. Depending on your stature within the company, you can easily have your family/friend hired in without having a strong background for the role. Be prepared to work, and I mean overwork with low pay. Do not expect to be paid market value. If this is your first gig, grit your teeth and jump to a new place within a year or so. Promotions and raises are not as easy to come by. Even if you are achieving "above and beyond", they still expect even more than that. Random arbitrary milestones are set for promotion, but even if you complete them, you still have to fight tooth and nail. They tout a "promote from within culture". That is only accurate if you are on the right team. Some teams have seen massive growth. Rather than promoting from within their respective teams, they push for mass hiring through a rushed interview process. Even though the job is essentially remote, there has been a push to the office. The "return to office" wording has been communicated as "optional". Depending on your team, the term "optional" is subjective. Don't expect clear communication here. Everything has a hidden meaning, so it can cause confusion and frustration. Be wary that this company works hard to keep things under the carpet. You will not be aware of someone's departure until the last minute. If someone is fired, you most likely won't find out until months later. Nothing is clear. I would say the keyword to encompass this company would be "exceptions". There is no equal treatment for all. Finesse well enough, and you can fall into the exception category (don't have to come in, don't have to have the same workload, don't have to do the actual job role, don't have to work on certain things, etc.) Learn to play the game and observe the personalities you are working with. Most people that are happy are either drinking the Koolaid or part of the issue. The Tevora way translates to not really caring about quality or principles. If you have big ambitions, don't put all your hope in this company.

Vantaggi

I’ve worked at several cyber companies over the course of my career, and Tevora stands out for the quality of the people and the collaborative culture. The team is genuinely smart, supportive, and committed to doing great work for clients. As an Account Director, I’ve had the opportunity to work with some incredibly well-known brands across a wide range of industries. The exposure to different environments and challenges keeps the work interesting and accelerates learning in a way that’s hard to replicate elsewhere. One thing I appreciate is the level of ownership you’re given. If you’re proactive and want to build something, leadership is supportive and encourages initiative. The company is also full of people who genuinely care about cybersecurity and about helping clients succeed. It’s a place where strong performers can grow quickly, build deep expertise, and have a real impact.

Svantaggi

Like most consulting environments, the pace can be fast and client demands can fluctuate, so you have to be comfortable balancing priorities. But if you enjoy solving complex problems and working with talented people, it’s a rewarding environment.
