Vantaggi

Great safety culture, and great corporate structure above tg plant level

Svantaggi

Middle management is inept and doesn’t understand how unhappy the people really are. Employees are blamed for what’s wrong and then not given any credit for what goes well.

Vantaggi

The hourly employees truly feel like family. We care deeply about each other.

Svantaggi

A typical day at TPR's Manchester location is unpredictable, with managers frequently raising various complaints. Monday morning meetings, intended to focus on safety, often devolve into discussions about the mistakes of hourly employees, starting as early as 6:00 to 6:30 AM. Each day brings new tasks, with noticeable inconsistency on an hourly basis. The management and company culture are quite poor. Decisions are often driven by directives from upper management, leading to a lack of genuine belief in the tasks being implemented. This creates an atmosphere of insincerity. There is little room for growth; it often seems that only white employees have a chance at management positions, while female employees are frequently undermined. Although the company claims to be inclusive, the reality is different, and employees are misled into thinking they may someday become managers. The most challenging aspects of the job are the constant inconsistency and the unsupportive management. The person overseeing the Manchester yard is running it into the ground! I received generic feedback stating that they are inclusive, but I would strongly disagree. This seems to be more about maintaining a good image for the media or for visits from higher-ups. If you speak up, there may be retaliation. They insist that all feedback is confidential, but it has never been so. As soon as you hang up with HR, they are likely to inform others of the confidential conversations you had. News spreads like wildfire in this environment.
