Vantaggi
I was lucky enough to be placed on a good team, interesting technology to work with daily, good work-life balance (I've heard other teams could be quite different)
Svantaggi
Management was inept and a joke, with employee concerns being routinely brushed aside and stalled. My team in particular asked management what our role was following an internal restructuring, and was told "I'm not sure", and was routinely left out of presentations showcasing the various groups under our umbrella. Poor development life cycle, Agile-fall, opportunities for advancement seemed limited, lack of clear vision for the future leaving teams to haphazardly scrap things together or pivot from one goal to another. Employee reviews and raises are a joke and ridiculously spaced out (ratings in the Fall, raises in the Spring, resulting in a complete disconnect), people that arbitrarily score poorly can end up promoted/with good raises and vice-versa. I had several coworkers whose managers were on entirely different teams, meaning their ratings were given by people who hadn't seen or spoken to them all year. Employee "goals" were copy and pasted from an Excel spreadsheet that was flowed down from the top last-minute and signified nothing.
