While Choice Program provides a great opportunity to work with youth and families, they take advantage of young recent grads looking for a way to give back or enter the non-profit world. - 50-60 hours per week - Although you get reimbursed for mileage, it doesn't come near covering the damage, depreciation, or general wear and tear that will accrue over your time. - The stipend is unrealistic to cover living expenses, fronting money for activities with kids, damage to car, data used on personal phones, and health expenses as provided coverage is limited and does not include dental or vision. - The company continues to do things they way they have been done instead of innovating to provide better services to youth and families that need them - Although it is said that safety is a priority, there are no measures taken to actually ensure that Fellows are safe while doing home visits - The culture within the program is negative as so many of the Fellows are unhappy with their position and requirements, but they do not want to leave the kids they form great relationships with.
