Benefits are not that great considering Cigna is a Health Insurance company. Cigna recently acquired HealthSpring Inc. and the integration process has been a nightmare. HR support is non-existing at Cigna; everything is supposed to be self-service via their intranet site. Information is hard to find and management is left with the full responsibility of learning, understanding and interpreting HR regulations. All of the HS titles were "converted" to the Cigna structure. Where you had a manager's title under HS; you are a suddenly a "Specialists" under Cigna. Responsibilities remained the same except that you had instantly received a demotion.

The Cigna Group overall is a fantastic company to work for! They invest in their employees and do a great job ensuring everyone, in all departments/locations/teams feel as if they matter with the multitude of perks they offer to employees. Many team members were knowledgeable, hardworking, and genuinely committed to supporting the healthcare industry.

Svantaggi

While employed at Cigna healthcare, I experienced a work environment that often lacked consistent communication, balanced workload distribution, and transparent leadership practices. High-performing employees were frequently expected to absorb additional responsibilities without corresponding support, while shifting expectations and excessive micromanagement created unnecessary stress and instability. Over time, this impacted morale, trust within teams, and overall employee well-being.
