If you are looking for a job in which you will be respected, get to learn, and receive decent money then this is not a job for you! The owner of the company is very stingy and will not give you a good salary. This was the worst experience of my life. I did not learn anything at the ERG as I was not trained by anyone because there wasn’t anyone available to train me or teach me the basic tasks expected of me. The owner of the company yelled at me for other people’s mistakes. Discriminates when you inform him that you’re hurt about his behavior and says it’s “cultural differences”, as if it’s a part of American or Hispanic culture(his culture) to scream at people and use foul language while doing so. I felt that he disrespected me and belittle me because I was not only a woman, but a woman of color.Additionally , he cut my pay by a whole dollar just cause I left because of his rude and disrespectful behavior. He informed me of all my work duties but never told me how long my lunch break was supposed to be. I ended up not taking lunch at all because I was didn’t eat during lunch. When I received my check, he did not pay me for the lunches I skipped and worked during to ease the work load. He did not check with me once to see how I was doing or if I was even taking my breaks that I was NEVER told about but had a deduction in my check for. Nor did he ever offer to cover the phones so I could take a break. When I pointed it out to him that there is an error, he acted like he was a teacher in middle school and said “you’re telling me that you were working for me your whole shift and we’re not on phone?”, as if I was a child in school who wasn’t allowed to check her phone. When I was leaving he told me he was happy with my work ethic and I did everything he expected of me, but the cut in my paycheck was just disgusting. It makes me sick how the owner of a company could deduct someone’s pay by just a couple hundred dollars. The environment at ERG is not welcoming at all. And the owners are some of the rudest and most unwelcoming people i have ever known.
