11yMultiple issues with this review. So I will break it down per issue.
1. This is a traveling job, it is stated on all job descriptions, during the interview process and when you are in training. The ONLY market that we have that is 250 miles away from someones home is two books out of 160 directories. That is NOP and Port Townsend. Those books are the only exception, and my reps that work that book will stay in that market for the 3 months it is worked. In housing we pay for.
2. The housing for that market is shared and is told in advance to the reps that are hired. Traditionally all 157 other markets. the majority of them can be commuted from their home destination. If you are traveling more that 35 minutes from your home you have the option to stay in that market during the week on us. We provide hotels or lodges for our sales reps.
3. As far as the 300 pay vs the salary. Every company has a two week lag on pay and so do we. We offer Paid training. $600 which is paid out two weeks after training. But to help our sales professionals out we break that up into 2 paychecks the week after training and the week after your first sales week. That equals your first week training pay of 600.00. Now after those 2 weeks you get your traditional salary plus commission from your first week selling in the field. Now every week you get paid your salary plus the commission from two weeks ago. This is all stated by the recruiter, and a email of this break down is sent to every potential hire.
4. As far as breaking our training agreement, unfortunately this job may not be for everyone. We do believe in its better to train and work with a current employee that go find another one. But people do quit before 6 weeks and prior to being hired everyone is sent a training agreement stating that if you decide to end employment prior to 6 weeks, we will retain your last check to try to off set the money we invested in the candidate. We have purchased a flight to training, paid for lodging, paid for food, paid for trainers and managers who invest time in a new hire. We are invested over 3k as soon as they sit down in training.
