Horrible leadership abroad - the founder and the leadership team do not know how to run a business. They are actively running this company into the ground with their financial mismanagement, and people are losing their jobs because of it. It's so sad and the leadership just continues to do what they've always done, which is spend money needlessly and run an inefficient organization. There's no perks to having a role at this company - no bonus, no equity, no wellness perks, no advancement, very low compensation. You have to beg for the bare minimum, it's completely demoralizing. Awful communication - leadership will often just rely on word of mouth to get a message out to the entire organization (which is global), leaving people feeling left out and unimportant. If you ask direct questions during town hall meetings, you get the runaround. Incompetent hiring process - No one knows how to hire at this company. Basic reference checks and vetting do not happen, and the teams have to pay for it when they have to deal with a coworker who has no idea what they're doing. Nobody puts in the time to get a good team in place, they leave it to the individual regions who don't have HR teams and are already overworked. I could go on and on, but this company probably won't last much longer. Don't bother applying for a job, you can do better elsewhere.
